Welcome to Small Town Christmas 2012

2010 Small Town ChristmasSmall Town Christmas is a longstanding tradition in our community and we invite you to join us Friday & Saturday, November 30 & December 1 for our 30th Annual Small Town Christmas Celebration.  It’s an excellent opportunity to make new Holiday Memories and share the Christmas Spirit with family, friends and loved ones. Start your holidays off right with a visit to the Mini Park, just north of the Square, where local businesses and organizations decorate the grand old trees to perfection! A great walking track, playground equipment, and lighted gazebo make this a very inviting area from Thanksgiving through the weekend of January 5th.

Small Town Christmas comes to life on Friday with the Holiday Baking Contest & Sale sponsored by First National Bank of Bellville along with the Lighted Parade and Late Night Shopping, complete with Wassail & Cookies.

Saturday offers even  more Holiday Delights such as Breakfast with Santa at Newman’s Bakery, Pictures with Santa, Gingerbread House Decorating at the Bellville Cafe, and the Children’s Wonderland in the Mini Park. Parents, get an early start on your Christmas shopping with over 90 Market Day Vendors. Revel in the early morning musical offerings of our Bellville Junior High and High School Bands and Choirs. Local recording artist and KTEX radio personality Troy Arndt will be our host for the Saturday’s events and we’ll even have the KTEX Country Cruiser here! Looking down to the beautifully decorated Gazebo in the Mini Park, our children’s Christmas Traditions will continue with our very own Bellville O’Bryant 3rd Grade Choir who will be sharing some of their favorite songs of Christmas along with the Bellville United Methodist Youth Choir. The Children’s Wonderland will have treats like Christmas Train, Pony Rides, Petting Zoo and a Moonwalk along with Bubble Runners and more! On the south side of the square the Austin County Jail Museum will be open for tours.  Scrooge may be seen strolling around the Square, and you might even talk Scrooge out of a few pence! The Austin County Chapter of the American Cancer Society will host their Holiday Homes Tour Saturday & Sunday, December 1st & 2nd. We have the sights and sounds of Christmas scheduled throughout the weekend of Small Town Christmas, so come and enjoy a weekend of Old Fashioned Christmas Traditions. Don’t miss Bellville’s 30th Annual Small Town Christmas!
